How you’ll make a positive impact

  • In this position, you will drive our partnering strategy by generating, qualifying, and managing leads, especially in co-development and C(R)DMO+ models for new products, while expanding our strategic network and market visibility.
  • You will initiate, build and manage development projects and collaborate with cross-functional teams to craft tailored, forward-thinking business proposals.
  • From review through negotiation to execution: you will play an active role in contracting for innovative partnering schemes.
  • Your insights will be vital as you track and analyze emerging trends, facts and figures in scientific, technological and clinical developments (e.g., novel APIs and advanced drug delivery), supporting us to shape and strengthen our innovation pipeline and portfolio growth.
  • Additionally, you will contribute to our business intelligence efforts, collaborate closely across departments, and support the planning and management of strategic business development initiatives.
  • This role involves occasionally representing our organization at renowned conferences, fairs, and exhibitions.

Your recipe for success

  • An academic degree in life sciences (e.g., biology, chemistry, or pharmaceutics) or business with some exposure to life sciences. A postgraduate qualification is preferred.
  • Multiple (2+) years of experience in the business development of biotech and pharma , specifically in science and technology analysis, lead generation, alliance management, and pipeline / co-development projects
  • Strong project management and strategic planning skills, as well as expertise in business modeling and project build-up (e.g., co-development and C(R)DMO)
  • Developed presentation and interpersonal skills, especially in establishing, maintaining, and expanding networks or outreach setups
  • Solution driven and highly cross-functional collaborative mindset paired with a hands-on “can do” attitude
  • A very good command of English (additional German skills are an advantage) combined with a proactive communication style and the ability to address different audiences
